More tree measuring - this time with sticks.
Up the slope!
This one was 13 hands all the way round.
Counting tree rings to see how old the tree was. There have been lots of trees cut down here which looks quite sad but Mrs Long explained that this needs to be done so that other trees have room to grow and so they can get some sunlight - we spotted some small trees growing up through the leaves.

Mmmm it's a plane, no a butterfly, no maybe it's a bird.
A bird? Or maybe a dog.
